Bread Machine Sourdough Pizza Dough

It s easy to do in your bread machine but you ll want to look for a pizza dough setting.

If you re machine does not you can use the regular dough setting but remove the dough after the rising cycle before it bakes. Let the ball of dough rest for 30 minutes. Remove the dough from the bread machine and let it sit for about 15 to 20 minutes before shaping it into pizza crust.
For the best bread machine pizza dough you ll need a quality all purpose flour you can also use bread flour but we use all purpose and like it just fine. When the dough is done preheat an oven to 450 or higher. Set the machine on dough only cycle. Many bread machines have a dedicated pizza dough setting.
Roll out the dough to the desired size. Mix together all of the ingredients and form a dough ball. Set the bread machine to the dough cycle. Once your starter is bubbling you can make your sourdough pizza crust.
You ll also need sugar salt olive oil and yeast. With a rolling pin flatten the balls into 12 to 13 inch rounds about 1 8 inch thick. In a bread machine the order of ingredients matters and so follow what you re brand specifies. Divide the dough in half or thirds if you want more than one crust.
Put the ingredients in a bread machine in the order specified in the manufacturer s instructions. Select dough cycle and start. Dissolve yeast salt and honey in warm water. Place the sourdough starter into the bread machine along with the flour and the yeast water mixture.
