After retrofitting footwell lights i decided to see how difficult it would be to fit the lights in the door handles which is part of the 175 extended light package. The lci facelifted the head. My night vision is getting worse and i have scrapped the spider alloys a couple of times parking next to a kerb at night so if a retrofit can be done it would. I think you can even just buy the small stubby bit with the led in them as a few e60 owners have done this as a nice little upgrade. If you can source the handles they were standard on every e90 from se up so should be out there then it s just a matter of fitting and connection to the doors puddle lights.
