Block Up Garage Door

Hi all new to the forum and am planning to block up my garage door opening using a timber frame with cladding on the outside.
Block up garage door. However embarrassingly when coming to measure up for materials ive realis. The garage door has been broken for 10 years and actually has shelving units in front of it. I hope to leave an opening for a standard wooden door to one side of the opening but have a couple of questions. The next stage in the process of converting garage to a modelling space is to block off my garage door to eliminate draught etc.
This greatly helps sound insulation heat insulation and gives me an extra wall to put stuff on. Watch the full video here. My plan was to build a stud frame fill with insulation and plaster board both sides. It also doesn t change the look of the building from the outside which is an added bonus.
We have an attached double garage with bedrooms above looking to block up one of the garage doors with brick and add a window and or a door. We have no intention of changing the use.
